THE PICTURES OF THE CRUISE TO THE GREAT INTERNET GETOGETHER AT STAFFORD

The towpath reconstruction near Barton looks very good...............

The sanitary ware factory at Armitage (where Rumpus's Belfast sink was made)...........

.......... with shrink-wrapped toilets in profusion!

Rumpus in Hoo Mill Lock - a very picturesque location.

A delightful "lock gate" water feature in a garden just outside Stone..........

........ and an equally delightful roadside "greeting" for the town itself!

Is this Britain's smallest "trad" boat? (spotted above Stone)

When you moor Rumpus in the tranquil setting of Tixall Wide............

........... you get THIS sort of view out of the side doors!

Rumpus heads the queue at Deptmore Lock on the GIG Sunday cruise...........

........... which ended up at Acton Trussel.

just to PROVE Tixall Wide IS wide............

Descending Colwich Lock on the return journey

Alrewas Lock leads into the River Trent - note the long towpath bridge..........

.......... and the floats to stop you going where you shouldn't!

The towpath runs over a series of smaller bridges..........

.......... until you reach Wychnor Lock and the start of the run alongside the A38

Barton Lock is handy for the pub!

Tatenhill Lock has a picturesque bridge................

................ and Branston Lock is out in the fields!

Residents at Burton seem to have adopted the towpath.

Belmont and Meteor were on camping boat duty - one of very few pairs doing this these days.

Stenson Lock is the first (and the heaviest) of the 6 wide locks down to the Trent.
