Friday night saw a convivial gathering in the marquee...................
... with some of the participants getting stuck in to the Real Ale............
..... and Wendy overseeing the Bar...........
.............. and sharing a confidence with Diana Holt.
Will Chapman also kept an eye on proceedings...........
........ whilst "never again" Bruce got the Instrument of Torture out! (He was quite good, actually........)
..... and so was Mandy!
The next morning saw Gamebird arrive from Scotland.
Sean got Laplander ready....................
........... for The Cruise - a two boat affair! (the other being Jemima D)
Terry Streeter hangs on for a lock.........................
........... whilst Sean ministers to the engine.......................
...... and blows the boiler down whilst waiting for Alrewas Lock.
Saturday evening saw His Honour on Bar duty.........
....................... and Susan with a new hairy friend...............
......... who even slept when the (loud) band was on!
Sunday morning was auction time................
............... with loads of interesting lots (and some tat) on offer.
Some people decided to sit outside.........................
... whilst Mike Caswall ran his "Won't Boot" stall.
This lot (bought with a certain Mayor in mind) caught my eye................
.......... and the cakes for the Coffee Morning went down well!
Figuring out the Quiz??
Unfortunately, somebody dropped his newly-acquired copper pipe in the Marina...........
" I wish we'd got a copper magnet........."
He really should have adjusted his (man-sized) thong!
At least it provided enjoyment for onlookers..................
and he DID eventually recover it!
Tom Kitching came on Jemima D to practise...............
