I arrived in time to catch the 1400 passenger service........
....... hauled by Alan Civil's Pearl 2 ..........
......... seen here at Newlands Inn.
I wandered back up the track (with permission) (with my hi-vis on) to catch Lyddia (ex-Museum of Army Transport)............
............ and Tubby, a 20 hp Simplex (ex-Museum of Army Transport) (the only one on the line) on a freight service.
Pearl 2 then came down with the next passenger service.............
............. with Pat keeping an eye on me!
There was a fairly good crowd................
Pearl 2 ran round....................
.......... before the next freight departed in the care of Berry Hill...........
............. and the Lister.
Once the freight had gone, Pearl 2 took water..............
............. and I wandered down to Brand's Sidings, to find Ellison, the line's T Class Simplex.............
.......... Tubby, which I was pleased to see retained its exhaust whistle...........
.......... and Campbell's taking a well-earned rest from the passenger service.
The freight came storming back up the hill..................
.............. but a problem with one of the skips meant the Ruston came back separately.
